Blow nothern wind

After being on hiatus here's a new post at last. Sorry, no sewing at the moment but a whole lot of knitting.

Nachdem ich Schals in allen Varianten gestrickt habe, habe ich mich an Handschuhe gewagt. So Richtige, mit Fingern. ;)
After several scarves and shawls I tried gloves, real ones with fingers.

Knotty 1
Knitted after  "Knotty". Unfortunately you can't see the cables clearly in this wool. But they keep my fingers warm and I'm satified with the result of my first glove-task.

But you can't keep the cold away with only gloves so then I needed something for my head. I usually don't like hats but "Windhelm" convinced me otherwise.
Windhelm01
The brim is uneven because of short rows and the hat has two pleats at its back so it fits perfectly. ( Around my neck you can see my favorite shawl, 50 gr of super soft mohair yarn, totally warm and fluffy!)
I'm knitting the third Windhelm right now because it seems that the winter won't go away at the moment. And the real tough ones will go on a holiday to Scotland in March. Only four days but one day I will spend at the Highland and I guess I will need some wind protection!
